**Worship Team Service Guidelines**
**I. The Purpose and Role of Worship**
The core purpose of the 4W worship service or small group worship is to lead the congregation into a joyful celebration of God's presence through hymns of praise.
The lead singer and the team are not performers, but spiritual guides whose responsibility is to help everyone draw closer to God and prepare their hearts to hear the word.
**II. A Beautiful Spiritual Life**
The basic requirement for worship team members is to have a holy and God-fearing heart.
Skills can be practiced, but life is the foundation. Team members should be "flowing pipes," reading the Bible and praying regularly so that they can express genuine worship when they go on stage and lead the members into the Lord's presence.
**III. Requirements for Serving on the Platform**
**Training and Recommendation** Requires participation in at least 6 group team training sessions and a recommendation from the worship team leader or pastor to ensure team unity and maturity.
**Clothing Guidelines**
* Team members: Wear light-colored tops with khaki bottoms (skirts or pants) to maintain visual harmony and avoid distracting the audience.
* Leader: Can dress freely to highlight their leadership role.
* Musicians in the audience: No special dress code required.
**IV. Practice Arrangement**
**Regular Practice** Practice the hymns for the following week immediately after Sunday worship.
**Make-up Training Mechanism** If you are unable to attend on Sunday, you must attend make-up training at church on Saturday.
**On the day of ministry**, arrive at church before 9:00 AM, attend morning prayer, and then continue practicing to cultivate teamwork and prepare spiritually.
**V. Worship Atmosphere and On-Stage Guidance**
**Atmosphere Positioning** With "celebration" as the guiding principle, create a joyful, positive, and uplifting atmosphere to inspire joy and hope among attendees.
**Concise Guidance** The leader should not speak excessively. Scripture readings or prayers should be kept under 20 seconds, allowing the congregation to focus on the hymns and lyrics and interact directly with God.
**VI. Selection and Arrangement of Poems**
**Importance** Choosing songs is the soul of worship, directly affecting the congregation's closeness to God and their readiness to hear the sermon.
**Before the Sermon (2-3 hymns)**
The first song (fast song) is a familiar hymn to the congregation (such as "Come to Celebrate" and "Shout and Praise"), which has a calling meaning and proclaims that God is present.
The second song (a slow song) **uses a prayer or hymn of praise (such as the Fountain of Praise series) to lead the congregation to quietly honor Christ.
The third song (medium-fast) is intended for listening to sermons or for offering. Each song should be allocated approximately 7 minutes (two songs may also be chosen).
3. **Response Poem (After Sermon)**
In line with the sermon theme, the focus is on setting goals and making contributions.
It is recommended to use slow songs and avoid overly heavy or self-reflective content to ensure that worship ends in joy and commitment.
**VII. Conclusion**
Worship is a offering of the whole being. May we pursue God's presence with humble and fervent hearts, becoming fine vessels in God's hands, leading the church into a deeper celebration of worship. Amen.
